// BASICS
Basics of being a christian
Christianity is all about believing in and having personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Here are the important points:
// the bible:
We believe the Bible is God's inspired and perfect Word. It’s our guide for life and faith and teaches us about who God is.
// jesus christ
Jesus is at the heart of everything. We believe He is the Son of God, that came down to earth, and that His life, death on a cross, and resurrection offer us the gift of salvation. To know more about Jesus, we recommend reading the gospels in the bible (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John). John is a great book to start with.
// salvation by faith
Salvation is a free gift from God! This is amazing news! We receive it through faith in Jesus, not by anything we do ourselves.
// personal conversion
Becoming a Christian involves a personal decision to follow Jesus. It’s often described as being "born again" because it truly is a fresh start.
// evangelism
We’re passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus with others, because it’s the greatest message ever! After you have begun your journey with Jesus, he asks us to share Him with those around us and invite them to accept Jesus as their Lord and savior as well.
// FIRST STEP
first step to becoming a christian
If you're thinking about becoming a Christian, here’s how you can start this incredible journey:
// acknowledge
Recognize that you need God’s forgiveness. We all mess up (sin) and need His grace.
// Believe
Trust that Jesus is who He says He is the Son of God who died for you and rose again.
// Confess
Open your heart to Jesus. You can do this through a simple prayer, asking Him to forgive your sins and be the leader of your life.

HERE IS A PRAYER YOU MIGHT FIND HELPFUL
"Dear Jesus, I know I’ve made mistakes and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins and rose again. I want to turn from my old ways and follow you. Please come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for loving me and giving me a new start. Amen."
