Hi Willow Park Church. I am looking forward to this weekend. Of course it is the last weekend where we will be concentrating on the questions that Jesus asked. You know, He asked the questions about identity, about compassion, about healing and many, many other questions. Well before we step into Advent, this is our final weekend on the questions that Jesus asked.

Now let me just tell you families, we’ve got a great resource for you to help you prepare for Advent. Here we have an amazing resource, it’s called “The Jesse Tree”. And with you, your family or maybe your grandparents or great grandparents, you can sit down in the evenings and read through each night a story with your children which takes them on a journey towards the truth and the beauty of the birth of Christ. Not only do you have a book, but then you also have a devotional so that you’re able to have devotionals with your children and walk through. This would be fantastic, and boy, what a privilege it is to pray with our families and to pray with our children and to do that story time with them. Not only do you get a devotional, you get a book, but you also get, yes, my favourite, a colouring book for those ones that love to colour on each story. Great, great colouring book to step in. And finally with each day comes a special little ornament and you take each day and you can hang them up and string them together on each day. It’s going be absolutely wonderful. So that’s $20 and I believe that’s money well spent for the Christmas period where we want to engage our children in a really creative way of hearing stories, of colouring and of creating crafts, which will be fantastic.

Also can I remind you that we have our AGM coming up at 2 pm on Sunday. We will be looking at our financials and we’ll also be introducing prospective elders and there will be voting for new elders. So come and join us for our AGM. We’d love to see you there. It’s always a time that is inspiring and exciting where we hear the vision of the church. So please come and join us.

And finally, and then I’ll be gone, we have Men’s Night. Men’s Night, 5:30 pm on Monday evening at Hwy 33. There’ll be pizza and we have a unique speaker, an English speaker. His name is Phil Collins. He’s going to be speaking about what it means to understand to be a man of God in this generation and how the Lord speaks to us as men and how our lives can be changed through a personal encounter with Christ. I’m really looking forward to this and I hope you’ll join us for that. Pastor Curtis organizes it, gets the pizza in and we have a great time of fellowship.

So three things. “The Jesse Tree” book, the AGM, and of course Men’s Night. So much more going on. Check out the email and I look forward to seeing you this weekend.
