Update from Pastor Jeremy – November 4, 2022

More Info

Hello Creekside family. This is Pastor Jeremy. Just a quick video message for you. Hopefully you enjoyed this past week’s sermon as we looked at the Good Samaritan. We asked, “how can we help those in need?” And we recognized through that story that we are not the Good Samaritan, that we are the person actually on the side of the road. First Christ came and He helped us in our dire need while we were dead, beaten on the side of the road, and He calls us to do likewise. He calls us then to go out and be like the Good Samaritan, to help those in need. And so hopefully you were encouraged by the sermon and recognizing that our reach of love needs to go way beyond where we are. We need to look at those that we can help, look at those that we can serve. And when we do those things and we go and we help those people, we are being an image of Christ. And so you can watch that sermon on this link attached to this email if you missed this past Sunday.

This Sunday we are going to look at the topic of healing, where Jesus asked the question, “What can I help you with? What can I do for you?” And so hopefully you’re here this Sunday because it is also Soup Sunday. And so I know it’s the best Sunday of the year… which happens every month. So it’s the 12 best Sundays of the year and so you can come for Soup Sunday.

This Sunday, also, is our youth service Sunday. So our youth are going to be serving throughout the campus. And so it’s a really exciting Sunday. Hope to see you.

A couple of other things. It’s officially November, which means it’s officially Christmas. And so you have all authority from me to go ahead and decorate for Christmas. And if you’ve already decorated for Christmas, I mean, that’s cool. But we are going to have some Christmas things coming up here soon in our campus, but also throughout our Network. Living Nativity is going to be happening soon, December 9, 10 & 11. I’m just guessing the email will tell you the correct date if that was wrong. And so you can sign up to volunteer. We would love to have many of our Creekside campus volunteering throughout this.

You can also sign up to get your tickets, they don’t cost anything, but we’re just having a capacity for each service, and so go on, pick your service that you want to go to, register to go and bring your family.

So anything else? I just looked at my sticky note over here. So don’t worry about my eyes. But we’ve got a new job that is happening for Creekside, a Next Gen Director. So this is going to be someone who oversees our kids to youth and it’s an exciting opportunity. And so, for those of you who know people who maybe will be good at this, I encourage you to tap their shoulders, point them towards me. This is going to be posted everywhere and anywhere that we can have it. And I encourage you to pray for this position, pray for the right person, pray that the Lord will lead them to our campus.

So I think that’s all I have for you. If not check the email, there should be some more info. Thank you. Have a great day.
