Update from Pastor Jeremy – November 18, 2022

More Info

Hello Creekside family. It’s Pastor Jeremy with a quick video message for you.

Hopefully you enjoyed this past Sunday as Kim shared. If you missed her sermon you can scroll down on this email and you can find the link to watch it. This Sunday I will be back sharing and closing off the series, “Jesus, the Great Questioner” for you. And as we look at the question that Jesus asked, “who do you say that I am?” And so hopefully you’ve enjoyed this series. You can also find any sermon from this series on the links below in this email.

So it’s going to be a great Sunday. We’re also going to have communion and partake together. It’s been a while and so I’m excited to have communion with you this Sunday.

Okay, Advent season is starting to come. It happens November 27th and with that we have some exciting things for our kids and our families. I’m just exiting stage left or right here… whatever it looks like on your screen. We would love for you to sign up for an Advent kit that we have. There is a cost to it and there will be a registration for it. You know, if anyone is unable to afford it and needs help to pay for it we will for sure find a way to help you out. But you’re going to get this book that you can sit down and read with your family. And then there’s also some activities that can happen with a colouring book, a devotional that will be there and then there’ll be these little, kind of like cut out things with a picture on it that they can colour and it represents each Advent day that you will go through and then you can hang it on the tree. So this is really exciting, this is for our families. You can sign up on the link in this email to receive that kit.

I’m making it through, this is going to be the best video announcement ever.

And so with that, this Sunday, I’m going to be excited to announce some of the things that we’re going to be doing within our campus for Christmas with our kids and our outreach and then even just some of the Advent things that we will be doing. So please come this Sunday to hear about what is going to be happening in Creekside and also Living Nativity.

Living Nativity is like, feels like it’s in full swing right now. People are scrambling around crying, running around, trying to get this all together, but it’s all exciting that we are going to be having Living Nativity on a bigger scale once again. And so we would love your help. If you can sign up the volunteer, that would be amazing. And also sign up to attend. There’s many shows throughout the weekend of the 9th, 10th and 11th and so please sign up so you can have your spot and you can have enough elbow room, you know, so you’re not elbowing some kid in the face. Anyways, so sign up for Living Nativity.

And lastly, actually I have two lastlys. And so, first lastly, the AGM is happening this upcoming Sunday November 20th. Please come to hear what’s happening within our church and to take care of some of the business that comes along with being a church. And so we hope that you can come. The details will be below in this email.

And then the last lastly, that’s perfect English really, and so, is, I’ve mentioned before, within our sanctuary, the SDA has asked that we don’t take coffee into the sanctuary. There’s many spaces around the church that we can have it. You can have it in the foyer, you can have it in the fellowship room, but we really want to respect this request of them and not to bring coffee into the sanctuary.

So that’s it. This is probably the best email I’ve ever did. And so I think I’m getting thumbs up, it’s like top five. If you’re totally confused, just read the email. And so thank you for watching this video. Bye.
