Update from Pastor Jeremy – July 22, 2022
Hello Creekside family. This is Pastor Jeremy with a quick video message for you.
Hopefully you enjoyed this past weekend with Doug as he was with you. I’m sure he did an amazing job.
We had a great time at camp this past weekend where we really learned, had sessions that discussed about diving into scripture, reading it, and letting it transform you as we take time to just be with Christ. And hopefully this summer you’re taking that. You’re taking time to find a sabbath, to find quiet time to really dive into scripture and be with Christ. That’s been huge for our family. This summer, so far, Kim and I, we find ourselves really taking our mornings and being on the deck just reading scripture and being quiet.
I think this is a big season for that for us to be able to dwell with Christ after such a busy time of Covid. And we know it’s like, oh we had Covid, and we had all these breaks, but, there was an unsettledness to it. And so now I’m really feeling like a season of dwelling in scripture with Christ. Obviously it’s something we’re always called to do, but it feels a bit more important in this season, that we are really finding Him in scripture. And so hopefully this is some knowledge for you, to encourage you as you head into summer, into your summer vacations.
This Sunday we are going to continue our series on “The Jesus Code.” I will be back. We’re going to look at the Noahic Covenant. I’m excited to present that to you and to talk about it with you. So don’t miss this Sunday.
Also August 14 we are having our baptism service again and we are going to also have a barbecue at the end of the service. And any money that’s given towards the barbecue that Sunday will go towards the Back to School Give-away. And so I believe there’s a sign-up now for the Back to School Give-away in order to participate. It will be attached to this email so you can click on that link.
So lots happening, and I’m excited to be back with you this Sunday as we continue “The Jesus Code.” So don’t miss out. If you’re away with your family or you’re enjoying a vacation, take that time to really draw close to your family obviously, but also to draw close to Jesus, spending time in scripture.
Have a great rest of your day.
