Hello Creekside family. This is Pastor Jeremy with a quick video message for you. Well it’s exciting that we can gather again this Sunday.

If you missed last Sunday, I talked about the scripture where Jairus and the bleeding woman encounter Jesus. In this encountering of Jesus, they went past their fears, they went past their pain, they went past, you know, what society was going to say about them and they desperately came to Jesus’ feet. And we see from this scripture that we can fearlessly and desperately come to Jesus in our prayers. In the midst of the chaos when Jesus got off the boat and everything was a bit wild of a scene that was happening and taking place, people were coming to him, they were grabbing at him, they’re asking him to come with them. And Jesus, he responds in the midst of the chaos. And so when you feel you have pain, physical pain, emotional pain, I encourage you to come to Christ. Constantly come to Him in the midst of everything.

This Sunday is a big Sunday! We’re going to have Chris Wiens and Val and Al and Morley speaking about their time in Guatemala at the English House. It’s going to be an amazing service. We always love hearing from Chris, but it’s exciting to hear from some people who went along with him and they can share their stories and what they’ve learned in the midst of it. And then also it’s going to be Soup Sunday. So it’s a real great Sunday. I encourage you to not miss this one, it’s going to be spectacular.

There’s lots of things happening within our campus and the greater network of our church. First within our campus on January 29th we are going to have a baptism class. And so if you are interested in being baptized, if you have questions about baptism, right after our service, I will have a short class and we’ll talk about what it looks like, what the service is going to be like, and you can ask any questions that you might have. So I encourage you to sign up on the link attached to this email.

Then on February 5th, exciting, we are going to go to Tube Town which is in Silver Star and we’re going to go tubing! I guess Tube Town really just gives it away and so this is an amazing time for us, together, our kids and our families together to go up to Silver Star and have just a fun time tubing. We’ll have s’mores available, we’re going to have some hot dogs available outside too. And so I encourage you to sign up, register on the link on this email, you can find it, and you’ll hear more about this on Sunday. So I encourage you, February 5th from 2 to 4, sign up to go tubing.

Then February 26 is going to be our baptism service. You know what we really like baptism class, so we’re just going to do it twice. We’re going to have our baptism service on February 26. So mark those things down on your calendar things that are upcoming. And please sign up and encourage people that you might know, or you know, talk to them about being baptized, and you know, ask them where they are, if you know that they’re not baptized and we want to see people, obviously, take that step of faith on their own. But sometimes that conversation within the home helps give them that understanding of what is going to take place.

Now, within the greater network on January 26 to 28, “The Hiding Place” is going to be happening. It’s a play that’s going to be taking place here. And so the tickets are free. I encourage you to sign up to get tickets and come on out.

Then on February 7th, Alpha is going to begin. So if you’re interested enough or you know somebody interested enough or you know it would be good for someone, I encourage you to direct them to sign up and join Alpha.

Well, that’s all I have for you. I’m sure I missed something, but it will be in the email below. Have a great rest of your day. See you Sunday.
