Hello Lake Country family. This is Pastor Jeremy with a quick video message for you. We are officially in August, and there’s lots that’s going to be happening this month and we’ll get to that.

But first off I encourage you to come out this Sunday as we are going to be continuing our series on “The Jesus Code” and I will be speaking on the Abrahamic Covenant. If you’ve missed any of the sermons previously, I encourage you to go to the website to find them and catch up because there is this flow in the series and that is very helpful, you know, if you’re caught up. Also it’s a great listen where you’re sitting there listening to my voice while you’re working out in the yard. I mean it’s what everybody really needs in their life. And so, I encourage you to come out this Sunday as we continue our series.

Exciting news is we are looking for a Lake Country Creekside Ministry Coordinator for our campus. And so this is a position that we are going to be hiring and here are some of the things that are required. I had to grab my computer because I did this like just before and I totally messed up. So I need my computer. You’re going to oversee and manage the welcome-to-connection-to-discipleship process. So that’s people coming in, getting them connected and getting them connected then to the things that we offer as Creekside. You’re going to work with the Lake Country Ministry Worker, Lake Country Children’s Ministry worker, to reach out and minister to local families and assist with Children’s administration needs, volunteer coordination for ministries and Planning Center oversight. This is getting our volunteers connected and coordinated. Getting them onto Planning Center and getting them fit into spaces and working with our ministries to help them get connected into Planning Center. And you’re going to support myself, on an implementation of the ministry plan for our campus. And so looking for lots of work that’s going to be hands-on connecting with newcomers, connecting our church into a volunteer space. And so this is an exciting position. Lastly August 14th we are having, just really pounding my hands because it’s exciting, August 14th we’re having a baptism service and a barbecue and a slight change to the barbecue. We’re actually going to make this a potluck now. So I’ll provide hamburgers and hot dogs, but we’re going to need some people to bring salads and desserts for this Sunday. So there’s going to be a sign up at the Connection Desk if you’d like to bring a salad or dessert. And if you are interested, you can also reach out to me and say, hey Jeremy, I’m bringing a salad. I’m like sweet, bring a potato salad or bring your favourite mother salad. I don’t know, whatever it is, bring awesome salad. And so it’s exciting because we are able and excited to have these potlucks again. And so this is a fun way for us to connect as a church. So August 14th baptisms, barbecue, be there.
