Serving Teams

Willow Park Church is a community that desires to see lives transformed by Jesus in the Okanagan Valley. If you call Willow Park Church your home, we want to encourage you to get involved by offering you ways to serve in our body that will not only utilize your gifts and passions but bring you life. We have a variety of different ministry teams that are always looking for more people to join them. Check out the opportunities to serve below and get in touch if you have any questions.

Living Nativity

Living Nativity is an amazing 3 day event we put on every year! It’s happening December 8, 9, & 10 and we will need hundreds of people to help make it happen. There are opportunities for everyone… join us!

Prayer Teams

Prayer is a big priority for us at Willow Park Church and so we’d love to pray for you and invite you to join us in prayer for our church, our local community, and the wider world. There are a number of ways you can get involved.

Production & Worship Ministry

We’re excited that you are interested in serving in the worship ministry at Willow Park! Corporate worship and weekend gatherings are important spiritual practices for the church and its our privilege to serve and lead the congregation in this way. This includes serving on the stage on a worship team or off the stage in production. We have teams that lead worship and run production at all our locations and are always looking for new volunteers to join. We ask all our volunteers to be engaged spiritually with God and with the community at Willow Park Church. Please take a moment to fill out the form below and we will contact you to set up an interview.

Hospitality and Church Events Ministry

There are so many events throughout the church year as well as a regular need to provide hospitality to families in need that this ministry is such an important one in our church. There are opportunities to serve regularly and on an occasional basis depending on your availability.

When you join our hospitality and church events ministry, you will enjoy the knowledge of a job well done through the many smiles you are likely to receive as you fill people’s tummies and hearts with delicious food and warm happy smiles.

Photography & Communications Ministry

As the communications team, our mission is to share content that helps everyone in our church family to feel heard, find community, and grow in their faith. We are actively seeking keen photographers to serve in this area.

Time commitment is minimal; we would ask you to take photos at your regular place of worship on a periodic basis and at specific location-based events throughout the year. You should be experienced in taking photographs to a high standard using either your own equipment or the church equipment, signed out on a rota basis. Full training on our processes, approach, policies, and best practices are provided to all our communications team volunteers and we get together throughout the year to grow in the community together.

Kids Champions

At Willow Park Church, we are always in contact with people in the city that need a helping hand. We are always looking for people who want to make a difference and join our Kids Team! We have volunteer opportunities available on Sundays, midweek, and during our Spring Break and Summer Camps at three locations: Rutland, Mission, and Lake Country.

Community Care

At Willow Park Church, we are always in contact with people in the city that need a helping hand. We receive calls from single moms, seniors, shut-ins, and widows who need a bit of encouragement or some help at home.

The community care group is a group of people who are ready and willing to help out the people in the community that need it most. From delivering meals to helping clean a house to sitting and having tea and listening, we want to be ready and respond when a need arises. One of the other exciting opportunities that the Community Care group will have is delivering Christmas Stockings each year! Seeing the reaction of people and organizations to the generosity of the Willow Park Community is so incredible! If you are interested in this opportunity, please get in touch with us.

Construction

Over the span of a year at Willow Park Church, we constantly have needs arise in construction. Those needs that may arise range from stage construction for the weekly services and Living Nativity to Seniors and shut-ins in need of repairs in their homes. Sometimes we will need a team of workers and other times we will be looking for just two or three people. If you are interested in using the gifts that God has given you in construction, we would love to hear from you.
