Worship Ministry

Production & Worship Ministry

We’re excited that you are interested in serving in the Production & Worship ministry at Willow Park Church! Corporate worship and weekend gatherings are important spiritual practices for the church and its our privilege to serve and lead the congregation in this way.

This includes serving on the stage on a worship team or off the stage in production. We have teams that lead worship and run production at all our locations and are always looking for new volunteers to join.

We ask all our volunteers to be engaged spiritually with God and with the community at Willow Park Church.

Worship Ministry

Worship Ministry at Willow Park Church
What is like to serve in worship ministry?

Serving in the worship ministry is a great way to use the musical gifts God has given you to serve a vital and important role within the church. This is a big need here at Willow Park right now. It also helps you get deeply rooted and connected into the church. The worship ministry often feels like a group of friends getting together on a Sunday morning to serve together and encourage each other. We often feel blessed to have been able to serve this way and feel energized in our spirits after serving, even if it physically tiring at times.

What roles currently need filling?

Musicians – once a month on a Sunday morning, 4 hours plus practice at home. Experienced enough to play along with typical songs we do in our services, but no one is a professional. Lots of room to grow.
Singers – Once a month on a Sunday morning, 4 hours plus practice at home. Experienced enough to sing melody along with typical songs we do in our services, but no one is a professional. Lots of room to grow.

Is there a minimum term commitment?

No, but we like to aim for one year commitment at a time.

What do you do socially as a team?

We meet twice a year as a ministry. Once for a BBQ and once for a training and vision night. We also spend time chatting each Sunday morning when we serve together.

Production Ministry

Front of House Audio Role

Did you know there’s an unseen member of the worship team every Sunday who has more control of what they sound like than the musicians themselves? Without this person, you wouldn’t even be able to hear the worship team! Ok, maybe you’d still hear the drums… We’re talking about our Front of House Audio Technician. Each week this person has creative control over how the vocals and instruments are mixed through our auditorium PA system – ensuring that everything is heard clearly, and everyone in the room receives clear audio no matter where they are sitting. Bonus: you get to sit in a swivel chair during church.

– 4 hours on a Sunday morning
– Once every three weeks
– No minimum term commitment
– No experience is necessary, but musical experience is an asset.
– Network-wide worship ministry team events: Annual BBQ, Annual training & team building night.

Broadcast Audio Role

Here’s a quick lesson in audio engineering: Not all speakers sound the same. Not all rooms sound the same. Even if it sounds great in the Auditorium on a Sunday morning, sending that same audio signal to someone watching on their laptop in their kitchen would sound terrible. Thankfully, we have a solution!

Like Front of House Audio, a dedicated person mixes sound for our online services in a controlled space, creating an audio mix that is as neutral as possible so it will sound good through a tiny phone speaker, and a giant home theatre system, or whatever device someone uses to watch our services!

– 3.5 hours on a Sunday morning
– Once every three weeks
– No minimum term commitment
– No experience is necessary, but musical experience is an asset.
– Network-wide worship ministry team events: Annual BBQ, Annual training & team building night.
