Glen Madden
South Community Pastor
I was born in Britain and due to growing up with a Dad in the police, moved several times before settling in the North Wales area. Though I attended church during my childhood and adolescence, I did not truly know and follow Jesus until I turned 17.
While going to university to train as a teacher, I served as an associate pastor (code for "chief setter-upper"!) of a church plant while also preaching around Eastern Europe and the U.K at camps and conferences. After I started teaching I become the senior leader of church near Chester.
After several years teaching and pastoring, my family and I moved to British Columbia where I continued to pastor and speak. In 2008 we moved to Kelowna where we have the joy of being part of the incredible Willow Park Church community in the South.
My hope and prayer for WPC South is that we would be a community who pursues God passionately; that we would seek His glory and live with compassion, mercy and grace while continually seeking ways to share the gospel of Jesus to others in our city.
In 1993, I married my immensely gifted and patient wife, Sarah. We have four wonderful children aged between 16 and 5. I am a huge Manchester United fan and thoroughly enjoy boating, keeping fit, coaching rugby and spending time with my family.
