Arnie Peters
Interim Pastor
I am a retired pastor who has been asked to support our pastors in their ministry for the time we are without a senior pastor. In this role I attend their Lead Team and All-staff meetings and try to meet with individual pastors and encourage them in the work they are doing.
My wife, Louise, and I have been part of this church and this community for 44 years. When we first came to Kelowna in 1965, I was employed by the School District as an elementary school teacher. I taught school and served in administrative and counselling positions in the district for 24 years before this church asked me to serve as an associate pastor. For 16 more years I took on responsibility for Music, Christian Education, Pastoral Care, and Seniors Ministries in this church. Since we have both retired from formal work, we have been involved in various service opportunities and family support.
Louise and I have three children: our son Brad and his family live in Pennsylvania, Brent lives in Kelowna and Alison and her family also live here. We are blessed with six grandchildren who bring much joy into our lives.
We trust you, too, will find in Willow Park Church a community of people who love and follow Jesus and serve the world.
