Early Childhood Pastor
I was raised in a fun filled home of eleven children. Being the second oldest of the family I was given lots of experience dealing with younger children. I developed a love for young children and started working in the church nursery as soon as I was old enough. In my teen years I was sent to Teen Missions for a summer ministry trip. It was there that I both gave my heart to the Lord but also dedicated my life to service to Him. I served on three consecutive teams and have gone to about 14 different countries. In all the countries I found myself drawn to the children above all. I married Tim Fehr in 1990 and we had our first son Bryce in 1993. We spent our first five years in Greater Vancouver where I received my Early Childhood education Degree from Northwest Baptist Seminary. I worked in two different Church daycares eventually becoming a Supervisor in one of the centers.
I had always wanted to serve a term with a mission organization and the opportunity came for Tim and I to go to Teen Missions in 1995. We first attended the Teen Missions Bible School for two years, where I both obtained a certificate in the Bible but also worked in the many departments of the organization and in childcare again. After graduating from school we were given the assignment of running the South African property of Teen Missions. While there my heart was with the children of the country, in our summer programs training the youth to do holiday clubs and then overseeing them. Along with some separate mission trips into rural areas with the church we attended also ministering with children and training others to have a heart for the ministry. In this time we also adopted Joshua. A beautiful black one year old. After three and a half years in South Africa we returned to Canada, not sure of what God would have for us. After a couple of months home God opened the door for me to serve in the manner to my hearts desire with Willow Park Church. That is to share the love of Jesus to the children and lead little people to follow Jesus, and also to minister to the families of the children in the Church and in our community. It is my joy and privilege to serve in the area of children from birth kindergarten.
My passion for children to learn about Jesus has grown stronger every year. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the preschool Pastor of Willow Park. I have a job that is fun, exciting and rewarding. I LOVE IT! Not many people can say that. I’m so blessed!
