The Unexpected

- Key Passage: Ephesians 3:20
When is the last time God showed up in your life, in the unexpected? Hmm, come to think of it, maybe we should come at it from a different angle. Where in your life is a place for God to show up, to be welcomed, and to do what He wants? Is your life controlled by your comfort level?
"As long as I have known God, this is the way He does things."
More often than not, I consider myself fairly open to letting God move in and shuffle things around. Yet, what I found interesting in my life this week was the fact that there are a couple places where I just kind of assumed God would not be interested... He's got bigger fish to fry - more important issues to deal with.
A co-worker reminded me that not only do I need to anticipate God showing up anywhere, and in any situation, but that He loves to do it. My job is to rest in that promise. I must welcome Him to show up in His time and with His agenda. Not always easy, but always worth the wait.
Do you expect God in the unexpected?
