TRIP OVERVIEW

On October 15, a ten member Construction Team will depart for India for three weeks. They will serve at the Shanti Niketan Children’s Home in Subathu with Child Of Mine.

WHILE AT THE CHILDREN’S HOME

While in Sabathu, the team will be spending as much time as possible with the children. They will also be hard at work:Fence around girls dorm

• Concrete on slope in front of girls dorm to prevent mudslide in monsoon
• Fix roof on guest house
• Make a basketball court
• Miscellaneous painting
• Buy computers with money women connecting are raising
• Stuff that comes up while we are there

TEAM SCHEDULE

• Friday, October 15 - Departing Kelowna
• Sunday, October 17 - Arriving in Delhi
• Monday, October 18 - Delhi to Subathu (Shanti Niketan Children’s Home)
• Sunday, October 31 - Subathu to Delhi
• Monday, November 1 - Agra Day
• Tuesday, November 2 – Delhi to Kelowna

PRAYER REQUESTS

• That we would go with hearts and motives of service to the staff and children at Shanti Niketan
• Physical health and strength
• Travel (flights, baggage, transportation)
• Trek safety (for a trek without injuries or illness)
• For grace and patience with one another as team
• Team unity
• Opportunity to share Jesus with locals
• Opportunity for Jesus to work in our lives through discipleship
• That all necessary funds would be raised
• That as a team we would exemplify Jesus in all we say and do
