Willow Park Church

The following message was sent to us from Hmuni at the Shanti Niketan Children's Home in India.

Dear co-workers in Christ,

Warm greetings in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

It's been a dream come true for us. A few years back we dreamt of building a new Shanti Niketan. Since  at that point of time it was a distant possibility, so  none of us in our wildest dream had ever imagined that within a couple of years we would see such tremendous changes happening in our Home. Today it's a blessed feeling to see part of our dream coming true. We know that it's just a humble beginning and God is going to take us to new heights in the years to come. We know that we were not special to be chosen by God, but now we are special because we are chosen by God. Today our words are inadequate to thank God and all you people who gave every ounce of your energy to make this place a better place, and our stay comfortable. All we can say is, "The Lord has done this, and it is marvellous in our sight".

I on behalf of Shanti Niketan family take this opportunity to thank each one of  you for the immense support we have been receiving from you. The best thing ever happened to this institution since it's inception is to have you in our life. You have given us a ray of hope to shape the lives of these children, who are the future of the Indian church.  Special thanks to construction team, who worked rigorously yet tirelessly day and night. It was great working with you guys. We were really blessed by your down to earth life. It shows your heart for the Lord. I want to assure you that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Each and every stone you laid here will continue to glorify God in the days and years to come. I also take this opportunity to thank Prayer & Awareness team. Thanks for coming and nourishing us spiritually.

Here are the details of blessings we received from God through Willowpark Church and Westside Church in the months of October and November, 2008:

1.        Extension of playground, building of boundary wall and installation of new fencing.(still under construction)

2.       Laying of floor tiles in our Multi-purpose Hall's porch.

3.       Erection of support wall adjacent to Girls' dormitory, renovation of one of the girls' toilets, extension of girls' play ground and making it concrete ground.

4.       Building of New toilet for small boys. (still under construction)

5.       Installation of new Washing machines & dryer.

6.       New Water pressure pump.

7.       Installation of New pipe line & water tank.

8.       Miscellaneous gifts for children- umbrellas, cloths, stationeries etc.

9.       New tyres for our vehicle Qualis

10.   Insurance of our school Bus.

11.   Miscellaneous tools.

12.   Chapatti gas stove.(give order)
