Willow Park Church

From Shanti Niketan Children's Home, where the Willow Park (Kelowna) VBS Team spent Christmas and New Year's:

Dear all friends and Partners,

Hope you had blessed and Christ centered Christmas.   We had fabulous time. I am really pleased to write a short report of the Christmas program to praise God for His marvelous deeds. On Christmas Eve we had games, fun, singing and worship. On 25th we went to church where our kids led the worship gave special numbers like, action songs, choreography, group song. Around 300 people gathered to celebrate the birth of our Savior. The service was followed by fellowship meal.

On 26th of December, we had grand Christmas celebration in our Home. Around 550 people, mostly non- Christians turned up for the program. The chief guest for the program was Brig. Bahugunna from 14 GTC, Subathu. Our kids displayed their talents by performing various program like action song, dance (cultural and folk), recitation and skit. Out of the entire program it was nativity scene by small children which stole the show and earned much accolades. The climax of the program was skit entitled “The real meaning of the Christmas”, which was performed by big children. It was indeed touching. The skit was followed by message, which was delivered by Rev. Abraham George. Finally the program was concluded with prize distribution to the meritorious students. The program was followed by tea and snacks and a time of interaction. I hope God would continue to speak and touch the lives of those who tuned up for the program so that they may come to know the saving knowledge of Christ.
