Church Serve
Church Serve is dedicated to extending hands of service in practical ways to those in need.
Church Serve began in 2002 as a collaborative effort between Evangel church and the Home and Community Care program of the Interior Health Authority. Its vision was to enable Christian volunteers to reach out to those with health or disability limitations.
NeighbourLink Kelowna-Westbank began in 1995 as a network of local churches working in partnership with World Vision Canada. Its vision was to enable local churches to coordinate their volunteers to reach out to the poor and needy.
In January, 2006, Church Serve combined with NeighbourLink. We pray that this blending will increase our capacity to serve those in need. This program is purposefully called Church Serve so any Christian church can be involved. Cost of the program is minimal. Benefits are immeasurable.
