A Psalm of Praise
Aug 24, 2009
Come let us worship the Lord, our God at Metro
Praise Him with guitar, keyboard and drums
Praise Him with the harmonica and voices
Raised to Him in song
Praise Him with the pickles and the cheese
Praise Him with the sandwiches and soup
Praise Him with the listening heart
Your ears are attentive to our cries
And our prayers at open mic
How long, oh Lord does the enemy await
The enemy of addiction, illness
The snare of lust and power?
The wicked one longs to grasp
From your Hands, oh Lord
Those you love
Yet you do save us, yet you do love us
When we wander off and forget your ways
Praise Him for the clothing he gives
To cover our form
And the robes of righteousness
That we would bow down before you
Oh Maker of Heaven and Earth
And all that is within
Praise Him for the friends and family
Here at Metro
Praise Him, Father and Brother
To the orphan, widow, the lost
The broken, the hurting
Oh Healer of broken hearts
Praise your name forever.
