A Golfer's Psalm

Aug 03, 2009

How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD?  Help, LORD!  Hear my cry; attend unto my prayer.

There be three things that are too wonderful for me, Yea, four which I know not:

The magnetic attraction of “water” and the “rough” on a golf ball
Why my opponent’s wildly errant ball is easily found when mine, only slightly wayward cannot be discovered?
Why the few branches of a tree always manage to be in the direct path of an otherwise good shot and deflect the ball’s trajectory further from its desired path
And why the “cup”, when putting, attracts my opponent’s ball but repels mine?

Lord, how does “crack - - - kerplunk!” glorify you?  Let me clarify that we are in this together and humbly remind you that it is the lowest, not the highest score that will glorify “us” the most!!!
